Combing and brushing... Right brush for fine hair

Remember that fine hair are very fragile especially when wet. The worst thing, maybe even worse than perms, is to brush wet fine hair with metal brush. Don't do it. To detangle your hair after washing use the comb with wide teeth and large space between them. Don't comb from roots down - you'll get big unsolvable knots at the ends. Start from ends, carefully detangling small areas and patiently moving up to the roots. After combing let your hair dry and then brush them.
Brushing is very important not only for styling but also for massaging your scalp and distributing natural oils from the hair roots to the ends.
How to pick up the right brush for fine hair?
First of all - don't try to save money on it. I noticed that cheap hairbrushes are usually manufactured quite rough, the bristles aren't cut evenly and sometimes can scratch the scalp and pull out good healthy hair.
Brushes can come with metal, synthetic or natural boar bristles. I find that for my fine hair - the natural boar bristle works the best. You might find it too soft - then go with the combined ones where natural boar hair are mixed with nylon bristles. Theoretically you can buy them online, I would just go to the salon because there you can touch them, feel them with your hands and see them before you buy, which might cheapen all the process. Look for the one with soft cushion that has little holes for air to come out.
Basically the good brush for fine hair should gently massage scalp without scratching and carefully detangle hair without pulling. You might not get it for the first time. I went through several brushes until found the acceptable one.

Grandma's secret for the gorgeous hair:
Every night before going to sleep gently detangle your hair, sit relaxed on the bed, take the soft brush - natural bristles preferred, and slowly brush your hair from roots through the ends. You should do 100 strokes every night and your hair will be the best ever. I never been able to go over 50 strokes for a week, so if you manage to do all 100 everyday for couple months at least - let me know the results :)
